Rockstar Games To Work Remotely Due To Coronavirus Concerns
The developer is making work from home a policy.
The unprecedented spread of the coronavirus on a global scale has disrupted many industries as well as daily life. The entertainment and gaming industries have been hit particularly hard, and now many countries are in lockdown or having restrictive recommendations for their citizens. It’s affecting workers, too, as now remote work from home is becoming a standard, and it’s no different in the gaming industry.
Rockstar Games announced via their official Twitter their employees are being switched over to remotely working from home. That includes all of their offices internationally. It’s one of many precautions being utilized by major companies across the world.
They aren’t the first major developer to do this, as CD Projekt RED announced they were doing the same as they head towards the finish line on their much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. In the end, it’s a good thing for employees as it’s better safe than sorry when it comes to all of this.
